Responsible Beverage Server Training

Free
Calendar Next available session starts Apr 4, 2024 at 2:15 pm

Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) training gives the workers who make decisions about IDs, age, sobriety, and their worksite safety (on top of a host of other responsibilities on their shoulders) the best skills and information possible to protect their customers, their staff, and their community.

Through this training, members of the retail and service industries will be guided through why alcohol is a substance that should be taken seriously and provided safely and legally, as well as:

  • Current Liquor law
  • How to assess impairment
  • ID assessment and age assessment skills
  • Skills for how to refuse the sale or service of alcohol
  • Resources and prevention partners in the community

Training participants are tested on their knowledge both at the beginning and end of class, as some Maine muncipalities require successful completion of RBS in order to sell or serve alcohol.
