Paid Summer Work Program for Central Maine Youth Ages 18-24
You may qualify for a paid summer work program being offered through the Augusta Career Center in partnership with Augusta, Gardiner, Maranacook, and Winthrop & Monmouth Adult & Community Education Programs.
The program will run for 10 weeks, from June 5 – August 10. Successful candidates will work 24 hours per week at $9 per hour. Participants will be matched with local employers based on individual career interest assessment results.
Successful candidates will be required to:
- Provide copies of work eligibility documents such as birth certificate, driver’s license, social security card
- Have reliable transportation to the Augusta Adult Education Learning Center and to their work experience job site
- Meet once weekly throughout 8 week work schedule at Augusta Adult Education site for 4 hours of unpaid instruction & advising
- Orientation for this program is Wednesday May 17 from 1 pm sharp to 3 pm at Augusta Adult & Community Education’s Kennebec Learning Center at 33 Union St, Augusta, Maine. For more information contact Diann Bailey at 582-3774 firstname.lastname@example.org
