Scottish Country Dance

Come learn to do the jigs, reels, and elegant strathspeys of Scotland. Scottish Country Dancing, dating back to the 1700s, is the social dance of Scotland and is enjoyed by people around the world. These traditional social dances feature lively, irresistible music and are great aerobic exercise. We will teach a few steps and some basic patterns that everyone can do. A few ceilidh dances that are done at parties and most any gathering where there are Scots, will also be taught. No partners needed. Wear athletic shoes or sneakers and come try it out!
