Natural Burial and Green Cemetaries
with Alison Rector
Join Consumer Advocate Alison Rector for a discussion and slide presentation on the topic of preparing and planning for death. Have you wondered what a “green” cemetery is? Is green burial a new idea or a return to a previous practice? Alison will have photos of green cemeteries in Maine and around the world. Other topics will include: How do you arrange a natural burial in Maine and around the world? How much does it cost? What’s the best choice for you and your family? What if your last act was a gift to the planet? All of your questions will be answered as well as links to resources for getting more information. All you need to bring to this course is curiosity and a willingness to talk about choices for disposition of your body after death.
