Fall Foliage Special

with Diann Bailey

Registration unavailable

Fall is a great time to enjoy a special outing! Join us as we travel to central New Hampshire on board our deluxe motorcoach for a day of riding the rails. We’ll appreciate the changing colors of sugar maples and the gorgeous foliage of the beautiful White Mountains as we head toward picturesque Lincoln NH and the Hobo Railroad. It’s all aboard beautifully restored vintage coaches departing from Lincoln and traveling along the winding Pemigewassett River at the foot of Franconia Notch. A turkey dinner with all the fixings will be served on board by none other than Hart’s Turkey Farm – a New Hampshire favorite! We’ll enjoy a brief stop in Littleton (think Chutters freshly made fudge) before heading towards Mount Washington, the iconic Cog Railroad, and the Summit of Mount Washington, the highest peak in the Northeast. Steeped in history, this marvel of 19th century technology and modern innovation is an exhilarating voyage through landscape and nature. Magnificent scenery and efficient new biodiesel locomotives combine with a spectacular climb up the highest mountain in the Northeast. We’ll enjoy a narrated three-hour round-trip train ride to the summit where we’ll have 60 minutes to explore and take in summit attractions including the Visitor Center, museum, post office, snack bar and 360° views of the surrounding areas including up to 5 states, Canada and the Atlantic Ocean! Be sure to bring your camera to capture great memories of this awe-inspiring day. Registration fee includes motor coach transportation, Hobo Railroad train ride, turkey dinner and Cog Railway experience. Deadline to register is September 10. No refunds will be issued after that date. Note: There is no Topsham pick up for this trip.
