This bee school is designed to give those who are interested in getting started keeping bees a basic understanding of bee biology, hive dynamics, beekeeping equipment and setting up an apiary, as well as hive management, and understanding and managing pests and diseases. All sessions are taught by experienced beekeepers. The Kennebec Beekeepers Association encourages all who are interested in keeping honeybees and the challenges of beekeeping to join us! A materials fee of $55 includes a text book and one year membership to the Kennebec Beekeepers Association, due to the instructor at first class.
