Writing Your Way Through Grief

Grief is painfully personal, whether from the death of a friend or loved one, the loss of a marriage or job, or estrangement from children and grandchildren. In this 2-class course, we’ll talk about and practice how healing and helpful writing can be in identifying what you are grieving about. After several entries, you will be able to read over your words and easily see one or more common themes. Writing about your grief will not eliminate it, but will help you as you try to heal. You can write only when you are inspired, every day or once a week. Each person will be different and there are no rules. A local professional writer/editor who has suffered many losses, particularly over the past decade, will get you started.
Yoga For Back Care

Many of us experience chronic back discomfort due to aging, poor posture, inactivity or injury. Specialized yoga practices can help! Learn stretches that help lengthen the spine, gentle poses that help reduce muscle tension and nerve pain, safe poses that increase flexibility in the neck and shoulders, strengthening poses that improve posture and alignment, and relaxation exercises that relieve chronic pain. Each class will enable you to become more knowledgeable about ways to move your back in a healthy manner. Dress in loose clothes and bring a pillow and blanket along with a yoga mat.

Zumba Gold is the perfect option for those new to Zumba, older active adults, and for those who are de-conditioned and want to become more active. Zumba Gold is an easy to follow program using simple moves allowing participants to move to the beat at their own pace. This is exercise in disguise! This is a beginner class and is suitable for all ages and abilities. Bring water and shoes that do not have a tread but allow you to move easily across floor surfaces.
