Raggedy Ann Folk Art Peg Rack

Romantic, Vintage Garden Themed Memory Book And Junk Journal

Join us as we create a romantic, vintage garden memory book/junk journal. A junk journal is a handmade journal made up of recycled items such as pages from vintage books, music sheets, floral images, patterned paper, envelopes, post cards, doilies, and keepsake items to name a few. Use your journal to record and document your personal thoughts, memories, occasions or events that have touched you. Please bring paper scissors, wet quick dry paper glue (such as Elmer's Craft Bond Tack Glue or Aileen's Clear Tacky Glue), and a ruler. All other supplies will be provided by the instructor and a material fee of $12.00 will be payable to the instructor at the time of class. This class will be taught in 3 separate evenings of one week. Class dates are Monday (April 22), Tuesday (April 23) and Thursday (April 25). 6:00-8:30 p.m. Please register early.

Stained Glass Workshop

Learn or perfect stained glass cutting, construction and soldering techniques while completing projects of your choice. Select a project or design your own. Your attendance, skill level, project selection and its degree of challenge will determine completion. This workshop welcomes all: beginners, returning students and those students who want to refresh their glass crafting skills. All supplies for first project are available from instructor (approximately $6). Total materials fee is based on project choice. A list of additional suggested supplies and tools will be available the first night of class. Prospective or enrolled students are welcome to contact the instructor prior to class to discuss possible projects.

Wood burning has been around since the 1600s, most often used to add details to scroll work on furniture and leather. Learn the historical technique using modern means. In this class, we will go over tools including different tips, discuss safety styles, and practice finishing techniques. Students will first try their skills on scrap wood, then have time to work on a larger live-edge board and walk away with a finished piece. A materials fee of $10 is due to the instructor at the first class.

Wool Applique-Americana Flag

This project is a framed 8" x 10" American flag using red, white, and blue wool felt. The Americana flag is blanket stitched onto a blue striped background, accented with an assortment of white buttons sewn onto the red stripes and a single gold star accented with a red button. A welcomed addition to any home decor. Kits may be purchased from instructor at first class.
