French Braid Quilt

Create an absolutely stunning quilt for your bed. You will have the choice of making a 67" x 73" or 98" x 109" finished project. You will need to purchase the book "French Braid Quilts" by Jane Hardy Miller (ISBN 1-57120-326-5). A 10% discount will be given for the book and fabric if purchased at Mystic Maine Quilts. Your skill should be at an intermediate level to take this class. If you would like assistance in selecting the material, Barbara can be contacted at 522-9912. Getting Things Done When You are Over 60

This class will focus on giving you the confidence to put things away rather than leave stuff on every horizontal surface as a way of remembering. You will learn how to use your energy well and to adapt and compensate for short-term memory glitches. Your instructor will be sharing techniques she has developed for herself as she has progressed through the aging process.

Iris Folding For Beginners

Iris folding is a fun and easy paper folding technique that originated in Holland. Imagine taking small pieces of decorative paper and folding them in such a way as to create a beautiful piece of paper art that you can use on a handmade greeting card, a scrapbook page or framed and hung on a wall. You will create two beautiful iris folded pieces with a spring theme that you'll be proud to keep or give to someone special. Please bring small scissors and scotch tape. A material fee of $7.00 is due to the instructor at the class. There are only 10 seats available in this class, so sign up early!

Romantic, Vintage Garden Themed Memory Book And Junk Journal

Join us as we create a romantic, vintage garden memory book/junk journal. A junk journal is a handmade journal made up of recycled items such as pages from vintage books, music sheets, floral images, patterned paper, envelopes, post cards, doilies, and keepsake items to name a few. Use your journal to record and document your personal thoughts, memories, occasions or events that have touched you. Please bring paper scissors, wet quick dry paper glue (such as Elmer's Craft Bond Tack Glue or Aileen's Clear Tacky Glue), and a ruler. All other supplies will be provided by the instructor and a material fee of $12.00 will be payable to the instructor at the time of class. This class will be taught in 3 separate evenings of one week. Class dates are Monday (April 22), Tuesday (April 23) and Thursday (April 25). 6:00-8:30 p.m. Please register early.

Wool Applique-Americana Flag

This project is a framed 8" x 10" American flag using red, white, and blue wool felt. The Americana flag is blanket stitched onto a blue striped background, accented with an assortment of white buttons sewn onto the red stripes and a single gold star accented with a red button. A welcomed addition to any home decor. Kits may be purchased from instructor at first class.
